I have been quite selective when I release a play.

If you see me online, there is a strong chance it will be a winner.

I am currently on a 4-1 run my last 5 releases, and I have hit 9 of my last 13 plays overall.

I see another play I love, and it will be another winner.

Richard Coia's Rating System

Dimes. Donuts. Dollars.

Makes no difference to me as long as my NET PROFIT is in the black at the end of the month, season, and year.

Most of the handicappers here at the site use the "DIME" terminology to rate their releases and I will do so as well.

My scale will range from 10 dimes to 100 dimes. The bottom will probably start at 25.

Be forewarned: When we're winning, when we've accumulated profit, I will push past that 100-Dime max.

Who is Richard Coia?

WHAT I AM NOT....

A punk who hasn't shaved for a week wearing a backwards ball cap

An ex-jock who thinks he can win because he played the game

A nepo baby who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth

A Hollywood wannabee that had a movie made about his career

If you want any of them, you can find them anywhere, including a few at this site.

I was hired to use my particular set of skills to make you money over the course of the year or season.

I made my money analyzing stocks by playing the numbers, getting a jump on the options, and finding VALUE.

I never cared about corporate structure or who the CEO was; I cared about the market and playing both sides against one another while catching the VALUE at the right time and then getting out when I made money.

I realized long ago with so many numbers to dissect, I could apply the same strategy in sports.

I am NOT about long-winded analysis; I'm all about grabbing one key stat. Could be points per 100 possessions in basketball, a specific defensive statistical trend in football, or a pitching stat in MLB. I like to nail down one angle, tell you about it, and get you in and out quickly so you can make your wager.

They don’t always win. That’s impossible. But the odds are always in my favor because they’re high-percentage angles.

Research pays. It swings those odds in our favor over the course of the season.

You don't have the hours to do it, but that's what I'm paid to do.

Today's Complimentary Selection

They are hot! The Miami Marlins land in the Steel City winners of 5 in a row, and 8 of their last 9.

The Marlins are fresh off back-to-back shutout wins, and tonight's starter Sandy Alcantara is coming off a dominant 4-1 win his last time out against the Tampa Bay Rays in which he worked 7 full innings with just 1 run allowed on 5 hits, while fanning 7!

Alcantara made a pair of starts last season against the Pirates and Miami won both, with the righty allowing only 2 runs in his 10-plus innings, while striking out 13 along the way.

The Pirates have dropped 6 of their last 8 games, and starter Braxton Ashcraft happens to be coming off a rough start in which he allowed 6 runs on 9 hits in his 5 innings of work in a loss to the Braves.

Going to stay with the hot Marlins to continue their roll at PNC Park in the weekend opener.
